Joe graduated with a MEng (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Bath in 2022. During this time he completed a year-long placement with the Williams Formula 1 team before returning to Bath to serve as the project manager for the combustion Formula Student team — Team Bath Racing. During this time he developed a keen interest in sustainability, both in motorsport and the wider mobility sector. He now conducts simulations and experiments of propellers and rotors for novel aircraft applications — specifically for hydrogen-powered urban air taxis. He is passionate about decarbonising aviation and works with others across IAAPS on future aircraft technologies to achieve this.
