Bio

Chris is responsible for research on electrified powertrain solutions, in particular where system level analysis or architectural innovation is required. Chris leads several research projects on electrified powertrain solutions including electric machines with novel architectures, battery management and thermal control. Before returning to academia, he worked in the motorsport industry.

Career/Research highlights and achievements

I worked in teams which won a Formula 1 World Championship and 4 Formula E Championships. Before leaving Formula E I came up with a peculiar innovation which is the reason they are now only allowed 1 motor per axle.
